Sitting in the Balcony of my apartment,
Watching sunset, sipping Barefoot-wine and thinking about life..
How it changed ….
How a close-knit group of few college friends changed to huge network on Linkedin
But then why there is sense of loneliness and missing friends? …
How “Vilas ki chai dukan” changed to STARBUCKS Coffee
But then why it’s not as tempting to go to and linger around?
How one plate “papdi chaat” changed to large size Pizza
But then why there is no much hunger?
How weekly “Chitrahaar” on Doordarshan changed to On-demand Direct-TV
But then why is TV rarely ON?
How an old desktop changed to sleek IBM Thinkpad
but then why it’s the most hated object at home?
How a “Three tier sleeper class” train journey changed to Flight journey
But then why journey feels longer and more tiring?
How “Raja shopping centre” changed to un-ending Wal-Mart
But then why it feels more unsatisfying while coming out
How a bus commute has changed to cool drive in own AC car
But then why there are no places to go except work …?
How dream of rupees ten thousand job changed to dollar income
But then why it feels much farther from “desired financial freedom”?
Here I am sitting in the Balcony of my apartment…
Sipping wine and thinking about life
How it changed……….
Is this where I wanted to come?
Is this what I wanted to achieve as a child?
Is this the path I want to continue treading?
What all I am doing – is it in tune with “the urge from within” or because of “social-conditioning”?
Are these abstract thought waves “mental ripples” to go by OR they are “calls from within”?
May God give all of us strength and wisdom to follow our natural instincts, follow our “calls from within” because as they say “follow your instincts and everything will follow you!!!

Yea, as u said, no one has answers for these questions. And it requires lot of courage to overcome the insecurity and fear and really go by our “natural instincts.” Am sure everyone agrees with me on this :-)
